In the online business space, there is almost a distrust with doing things softly.
As though we are only allowed to be successful if we push and force ourselves to constantly show up online. There is a ‘do more quicker’ approach that interrupts the natural cycles of growth, and the feminine template of business that many of the women I work with are longing to soften into.
There are many layers to this, but something very powerful that has allowed me to come back to this softened way of business, is through redefining the idea of being visible online.
Through Growing a Business Without Social Media, I teach a different type of visibility called ‘passive visibility,’ or ‘natural discoverability.’ This is where instead of you needing to be active and outward on social media, people find you consistently and organically through search engines, like Pinterest and Google. Not only does this have a completely different feel to ‘showing up’ on social media, but it actually attracts a different, more connected type of person to your work- people who are actively seeking out and ready for what you offer, rather than those who are passively scrolling and distracted.
When I learnt how to create this visibility, it became easy for the right people to organically find me online. They would naturally sign up for my email list, enquire about my services and purchase offerings from me- all without me needing to be outward and active online. This continued to grow and grow. Content that I posted weeks and months ago, was constantly being found by new people- which meant I felt no pressure to be online.
What I have found through the success of this softer approach, is that you do not need to be on social media if this is something that does not feel right for you and your business.
You do not need to be online constantly sharing yourself and your business in a very outward way if this is not what works for you. You do not need to be creating endless micro-content at a pace that feels unnatural and forced. You do not need to find new customers and clients through pushing yourself to be visible on platforms that do not feel good to you.
Whether you are just starting out in business and would like a softer way to start building your audience, or you are a more established business seeking out a more sustainable way to attract new clients and customers online, this course will give you the confidence, insights and practical tools to help you grow your business online- softly, naturally and without needing to rely on social media.
course details
Together, we explore..:
1| the three energetic pillars of feminine business
Regardless of strategy, these principles are what underpin a softer, more sustainable approach to being found online. Understanding and embodying these means you’ll be able to share and market your business/creative work in a way that feels inspiring, safe and in integrity with your feminine soul.
2 | natural discoverability
Here, we explore using your website as the nexus of your business, and why doing this gives you an always growing business asset. You’ll delve into the importance of being found online by the right people, and why passive visibility is such a powerful tool for your business. You’ll be given an overview of each strategy we explore in this course, and an understanding of why they work so powerfully when used in natural synergy with each other.
3| SEO
I break down hundreds of hours of SEO research into doable processes and gentle (non technical) SEO tools to optimise your website and content for search engines. Knowing these tools not only helps you become discovered by people who are actively seeking out what you offer, but you’ll also be able to use these SEO tools to discover what your clients and customers are actually thinking, feeling and desiring- including the exact language they are using (often, this can be very different to the language we are using in our content and marketing). I demystify how keywords actually work, and teach you how to find keywords and phrases for your business that you actually have a good chance of appearing on the first page of Google for. This is a priceless business tool to have, as the SEO processes I teach can also be applied to other platforms that we don’t specifically delve into in this course- for example Youtube, Linkedin or podcasting platforms like Spotify.
4| Blogging
Blogging is one of the most underrated, yet effective ways to draw a right fit audience to your business. It is the ideal strategy for those who want to create a body of content that has a shelf life that spans years and continues to serve as a passive audience builder that draws people straight to your website. You’ll learn how to create a blog that makes your business work for you (even when you’re offline), including how to decide on blog topics and titles that your future clients and customers will be searching for. We delve deeper into SEO and look at how to use your blog to appeal to the different types and stages of audience that your business has (and how to use blogging to support you if you have a more multifaceted business with a few different focus areas). As well as this, we explore why your natural intuition is just as important as blogging/SEO strategy, and how to gently merge these two aspects in a way that works for your business and you.
5| Pinterest
Pinterest is an external platform that is uniquely positioned to support feminine energy business owners, as it works to naturally draw and attract people into your business, rather than you needing to be outwardly active online. You’ll learn how Pinterest actually works, why it is so different to social media, and why the way the Pinterest algorithm works is so refreshing and supportive of creators and business owners (as well as learning why it doesn’t work if you try to use it the same way as social media). You’ll discover why likes, followers and needing to rely on one audience for your income are not at all what Pinterest is about- instead learning the best and simplest ways to leverage Pinterest as a search engine that allows you to become naturally visible to thousands of new people each month who are an ideal fit for your business- no outward reach, awkward dancing or paid ads needed.
your course guide
I’m Belinda, founder of Soul and Self.
To me, marketing and audience building is not about convincing, or relentless hustling. Instead, it is about connecting and becoming discoverable to those who truly want and desire what you offer.
I find that many of my clients and customers use words like ‘serendipity’, ‘divine intervention’ and ‘meant to be’ to describe finding my work. This is because I use the strategies that I teach in this course, to show up online to those who are actively seeking out exactly what I am offering, in a way that feels serendipitous and perfectly timed.
When you know how to do this, you have an online presence that is constantly working for you, even when you are not online. It means that you can softly exit the culture that tells you to be constantly “on”, and instead relax into a gentler way of drawing people to your work. A way that means you are being found online by those who are waiting for some-one exactly like you to serendipitously appear to them!
You’ll also receive access to ‘Social Media Energetics for Sensitive Solopreneurs’
a 35 minute bonus audio, where I explore some of the key energetics that are happening on social media, and why you may be feeling an aversion towards using certain platforms (especially if you are like many of my sensitive, intuitive clients, who have a strong capacity to pick up on the subtle energies on many social media platforms).
You’ll learn why the subconscious leads you into believing that have to use social media to grow your business and some simple ways to unhook from this belief so you can feel safe to soften into your business without relying on social media.
